Working on it

So as some of you know there has been a festival in the works for about two months now. The progress has been made and the event is coming together. We have made the ground-work preparations to bury the water and electricity lines for the venders. We also have been clearing out a place to set up our camp managers location but production has halted on that because of a lack of employees due to a recent change of plans. Clearing the mulch has been quite the job. It has taken many weeks to get rid of all of it. There is still a five-foot tall section that's twenty=feet long in the way of the camp managers travel trailer. One day we will get everything settled.

A recent addition to the plan has been a flower garden for the maypole festival. We have planted many different types of flowers for the children to weave through baskets and wear in their hair. We got off to a good start by getting the land tilled up in time for planting. The problem came when it came time to plant, and we weren't ready. The flower seeds were nowhere to be found. We found them upstairs hidden in the closet. This process of playing hide and seek with the flower seeds took 6 days. That means that we didn't get the seeds planted until the 6th of March. The plus side is the day we got the seeds in the ground it thunder stormed and watered the ground really good. Perfect timing maybe, time will tell when it comes time for the festival.
